Hi, welcome to my blog about machine learning!

I'm João. I started my career as an aerospace engineer, specializing in guidance, navigation and control. I became interested in machine learning over a decade ago and for the past 5 years I've been working as a research data scientist in industry.

In this blog I intend to share some of the things I've learned along the way, as well as some of my personal projects. I am interested in many topics such as dynamical systems, generative models, optimization, stochastic processes, Markov Chain Monte Carlo and information geometry.
